It is a characteristic neighborhood full of historical shops, just in the building there is an old butcher shop dating back to 1790 where the counter is totally in marble with sculptures in high relief. Continuing along the alley you come to the ancient Bottega dello Stoccafisso. Always in the house you can have breakfast in the precious and elegant Bar Pasticceria Klainguti, '800 style or buy bon bon and confetti from Romanengo between marble and precious woods seems to come right into a favor box.
Sottoripa is a place not far away where there are characteristic fish fry and unforgettable \"frisceau\". In the evening to give life to the nightlife there are bistros and wine bars just below the house in the delightful Piazza Lavagna.
Nearby is the taxi rank, bus stops and the underground station Piazza De Ferrari which connects the main railway station in Genoa Piazza Principe and Genoa Brignole. At the ancient port boats are available for excursions to Portofino, Camogli, Cinque Terre and around the Port.

A comfortable cable car that leaves from Largo Zeccha stops at Righi, on the heights of Genoa, and for those who want to take a few hours hike you can walk along the old fortifications.
